What do I need to bring in order to renew my Driver's License or Identification Card?
  • Regular Class D Driver's License
    • Valid or expired within last year: you do not need to bring any additional information
    • Expired more than one year: you will need to go to a Drivers License Exam Station and take the written test.
  • Identification Card
    • Valid or expired within five years: you do not need any additional information.
    • Expired more than five years: you will have to bring in additional forms of identification, a primary and secondary. Proper Identification Documents (PDF)
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class A, B, or C)
    you need to provide proof of citizenship when you renew. The most common documents you can provide are an unexpired U.S. Passport, or a Certified Birth Certificate. Proper Identification Documents (PDF)
