We have created an Outdoor Dining Capacity Fund that will reimburse owners of restaurants and bars for expenses they incur in buying and renting things like tents, tables and chairs to expand their capacity while complying with COVID-19 safety protocols.

The program goes into effect Monday, June 1.

Qualifying businesses are eligible for up to $1,000 a month in reimbursement for rental costs incurred for tent, canopy and patio equipment such as tables and chairs. Qualifying businesses are also eligible for a one-time 50/50 match up to $1,000 for purchases of tents, canopies and patio equipment..

The County is partnering with the Elk River-based Three Rivers Community Foundation and the Little Falls-based Initiative Foundation to provide the relief grants for local hospitality businesses.
