[ARCHIVED] Gun permit applications require an appointment

Beginning Monday, March 30, anyone requiring essential services that used to be available at our administration counters will need to call, use our website or use email or the U.S. mail.

That includes gun permits.

We are making this change to comply with the Emergency Executive Order that Gov. Walz issued regarding the spreading COVID-19 outbreak.

All county departments beginning Monday will conduct business by phone or through the county’s website.

Permits to carry will be handled by appointment only. Permits to purchase can be mailed to us  or emailed.

The number to call with any questions is (763) 765-3500.

A fillable Permit to Carry form can be found here:

A fillable Permit to Purchase form can be found here:

Those forms can be filled out, printed and brought into our office.
