Event focuses on how stress and trauma affect a child's brain

Come learn about how we can all help provide a trauma-responsive environment in our community. Dr. Mark Sander will provide training sessions about how stress and trauma affect a child's growing brain, behavior and functioning.

The sessions will be held March 28 at the Becker High School Performing Arts Center (PAC).

There is no charge for the sessions and no RSVP is required. You are invited to attend either or both sessions. There will not be child care or food provided.

Dr. Mark Sander is Senior Clinical Psychologist for Hennepin County and the Director of School Mental Health for Hennepin County and Minneapolis Public Schools. He is a Certified Master Trainer in the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and a Visiting Scholar at Wilder Research. Dr. Sander presents across the state and at national conferences about trauma, mental health and school-based therapeutic services.
