Planning & Zoning
Planning and Zoning is responsible for planning the physical growth and development of the county. In order to fulfill that responsibility, the office prepares a revised comprehensive plan, reviews and revises the zoning laws that regulate the use of property and administers both the zoning and subdivision ordinances.

Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment meets to review variance applications and other appeals to administrative decisions made by the zoning administrator relating to the zoning ordinance.

Comprehensive Land Use
The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to guide future land use in areas within the County's zoning authority.

CUP / IUP Permits
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) or an Interim Use Permit (IUP) is required for property uses that have unusual site features or operating characteristics.
