About Gary

Gary is life-long resident of Sherburne County. He is a fourth-generation potato farmer operating Gray Potato Farm and Grayson’s Berryland for more than 37 years with his brother and has recently retired. He has served on the Clear Lake Township Board for the past 18 years, with 12 years as Chairman. He was appointed by the United States Secretary of Agriculture to “Potatoes USA,” formerly the “National Potato Promotion Board“ for two six-year terms. He has served on the Clear Lake Fire Board, Clearwater Library Board, Minnesota State Irrigators Board, and the Minnesota Area II Potato Research Council. 

He has been on the St. Marcus Parish Council and the Clearview Elementary Site Council. He has been married to his wife, Ann, for 34 years and has two adult children and one grandson.
