Well-being includes the presence of positive emotions and moods (e.g., contentment, happiness), the absence of negative emotions (e.g., depression, anxiety), satisfaction with life, fulfillment and positive functioning.

  • Youth Mental Well-Being:

    1. Implement Change to Chill – a program developed by Allina Health that aims to help youth ages 13-19 identify stress, learn how it affects them, and most importantly, how to positively manage it. Public health staff offer an experiential class session that provides students the opportunity to practice a variety of stress management techniques and healthy coping behaviors.
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): 

    1. Educate communities about neurobiology, epigenetics, ACEs, and resilience research (NEAR Science) through presentation offerings
    2. More Resilient Minnesota: Support local efforts to host community conversations and develop a community resilience plan
    3. ACEs in Sherburne
  • Community Resilience:

    1. Stronger Together Inspiring Resilience (STIR)
