Adults and juveniles in Sherburne County’s Work Crew work hundreds hours on dozens of projects in the county.
The projects range from cleaning parks, school grounds, DNR accesses and the county fairgrounds to assisting with set up at community events, sorting donations and moving furniture.
Adult offenders in the Community Work Service program work additional hours for non-profit/charitable organizations.
The Work Crew allows offenders to work off portions of their sentence or probation fees by helping complete projects in the community under the supervision of Sherburne County Community Service Agents.
One of the projects (pictured below) included installing playground equipment at Norland Park in Big Lake.
