GIS Division

The GIS Division provides services and support to all departments at Sherburne County, as well as to other government agencies and the public. The GIS mission is to create and maintain a countywide framework of shared geographic information that conforms to standards enabling data sharing and collaborative decision-making. The GIS division actively maintains parcels, roads, address points, zoning, surface water, election data, PLSS, and much more. If you have any questions about our role at the County or if you want to just learn more about GIS, please feel free to contact us.

Interactive Maps

Sherburne County GIS provides a collection of interactive mapping applications where the County's geographic data can be layered and analyzed. These maps allow users to zoom in or out; move up, down, left or right, and query specific information. We are constantly working on new web applications, so please check back regularly. If you have an idea for an interactive map that you think would be a benefit to Sherburne County residents, please contact us and let us know.

Standard Maps

Some maps are available on-line in PDF format. Any other non-standard map requests can be filled, but will require a charge of $45/hr plus printing fees. These fees are set by the County Board on an annual basis to recoup the cost of making the map.

GIS Data

As of January 1st , 2015 all GIS data maintained by Sherburne County is free and open to the public. We are in the process of making our data downloadable from our Open Data Portal, but in the meantime please contact us and we can fill your request.

Plat Search

The Plat Database contains information on each plat in the County including recording data, surveyors, location by section, governing bodies, number of lots, and included streets or adjoining highways. This database is updated as plats are legally recorded.
