Emergency Preparedness

Public Health works to increase the county's capacity to respond to public health emergencies such as infectious disease outbreaks/pandemics, health-endangering effects of severe weather, natural disasters and power outages, incidents resulting in mass casualties, toxic chemical or radiological releases, or acts of bioterrorism.


Individuals & Families: It is easier for a family to cope with an emergency or a disaster if they have planned and prepared before an incident occurs. Emergencies or disasters can happen at any time, any where, to anyone-a tornado, a winter storm, a fire, an ill family member, an accident or injury.
