Sherburne County Health and Human Services licenses, monitors and supports foster homes to be used by Sherburne County children and adults in need of placement.

Top areas of need

  • For child foster care, the greatest areas of need are:
    • Teenagers
    • Boys age 12-14
    • Large sibling groups of three of more
  • For adult foster care, the greatest areas of need are for:
    • Adults with mental illness
    • Transitional adults age 18-25
    • Adults with chemical dependency
    • Adults with traumatic brain injury
