Sherburne County Emergency Management

Overview

The Sherburne County Emergency Services Division is responsible for coordinating emergency management throughout the county. In addition to writing and coordinating emergency operation plans; the emergency services division provides public education, and offers along with provides assistance to local jurisdictions and county agencies before, during and after disasters strike. The Sherburne County Emergency Services Division works in collaboration with local, state, and federal officials, and partners with neighboring jurisdictions to facilitate better preparedness, response, and recovery from natural and human-made disasters.

Sherburne County Emergency Management Responsibilities:
  • Prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery from emergencies and disasters.
  • The administration/focal point for overall coordination for all disasters within the county.
  • Planning, training, conducting drills, testing equipment and coordinating activities with communities.
  • Effective integration of emergency plans at all levels of government and non-government involvement.
  • Administration and management of the Sherburne County 800 MHz radio system.
