Community Service Work

Your worksite will have to be approved by the community service agent before you can start working.

A registered nonprofit organization is one that has a federal tax i.d. number. If you are not sure if an organization is a registered nonprofit, ask if they have a federal tax id number, or look up the organization on GuideStar, a database of all registered nonprofit organizations in the USA. Some examples of appropriate worksites may include: schools, food shelves, and charitable or religious organizations.
