Law Library

A law library is open to all residents of Sherburne County and is maintained by the Sherburne County Law Library Board. Materials in the library are not available for check-out, but a pay copier is available for your use.

Hours: Open from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Closed on holidays.

Location: Sherburne County Government Center - Second Floor. Go around the atrium, through the County Attorney's door, and the library is to the left.


Law Clinic

Central Minnesota Legal Services in cooperation with the Law Library and local volunteer attorneys offer a Free Law Clinic, in the law library the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 12 noon to 1pm.

Sherburne County residents or those with a Sherburne County case may participate.  Patrons are received on a first come - first served basis and are asked to bring their court papers, orders or forms.  This is a one-time counseling session to assist self help patrons seeking direction and guidance in their family law and associated matters.  No children Please.

The law library also offers Court Forms, Self-Help materials, legal pamphlets & photo copying.

Free Legal Consultation/Referral Information

The Sherburne County Law Library now offers a free legal consultation or referral information to those needing legal advice.

To arrange an appointment on Tuesday mornings 8 am to 12 noon call Attorney Duwane B. Snyder at Central Minnesota Law in Becker at 763-262-2010. Appointments for Thursday afternoons 12 noon to 4 pm are directed to Attorney Sean Dillon-White and Associates in Elk River at 763-241-0477

This Self Help Project is a public service of the Law Library in addition to our Law Clinics held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 12 noon in cooperation with Central Minnesota Legal Services. For more information call the law library at 763-765-4800
