Sherburne County Hours
Sherburne County Government Center located in Elk River is open for county business from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
In order to better serve the needs of Driver's License renewals, the Driver License Bureau is open extended hours on Mondays, 7:30am-7:30pm.
Directions to the Government Center
FROM ST. PAUL: Take Highway 35E North to Highway 10 West (approximately 2 miles after you go under the Highway 694 overpass). Follow Highway 10 West through Coon Rapids and Anoka to Elk River. Continue West on Highway 10 through Elk River. Approximately 3 miles West of town, turn left onto Joplin Street (between BP and Holiday Gas Stations). Turn right at the first stop sign onto the frontage road. Take a left at the Government Center.
FROM FREEWAY 494/694/94 SPLIT (NORTH METRO): When the freeways split in the Maple Grove area, follow 94 north to the City of Rogers exit (approximately 8 miles from the split). Exit at the City of Rogers and go North on Highway 101 to Elk River, approximately 9 miles. After crossing the Mississippi River, take Highway 10 West through the City of Elk River. Approximately 3 miles West of town, turn left onto Joplin Street. Turn right at the first stop sign onto the frontage road. Take a left at the Government Center.
FROM ANOKA: Take Highway 10 West to Elk River. Continue West on Highway 10 through Elk River. Approximately 3 miles West of town, turn left onto Joplin Street (between BP and Holiday Gas Stations). Turn right at the first stop sign onto the frontage road. Take a left at the Government Center.
FROM BIG LAKE/BECKER/ST. CLOUD/CLEARWATER: Take Highway 10 East. From Big Lake it's approximately 7 miles. Steve's Nursery will be on the right-hand side of the road. Go another 1.5 miles past the Nursery to Waco Street. Take a right at the stop light onto Waco Street and then take a left onto the frontage road. Turn right at the Government Center.
FROM PRINCETON/CAMBRIDGE/ZIMMERMAN: Take Highway 169 South. Turn right onto Main Street in Elk River (by the Super America Station). Follow Main Street (through the 4-way stop sign) cross the railroad tracks to the first stop light. Turn right onto Highway 10. Continue West on Highway 10 through Elk River. Approximately 3 miles West of town, turn left onto Joplin Street (between BP and Holiday Gas Stations). Turn right at the first stop sign onto the frontage road. Take a left at the Government Center.
