Opportunity for Public Input on Child Care Plan
A draft of the 2016-2017 Sherburne County Child Care Plan has been completed and we are seeking public comment on the plan.
The Child Care Assistance Program helps working families or families with a parent enrolled in a post-secondary school program with the cost of child care. The amount of assistance is based on the parent's income and the fee is based on a basic sliding fee scale.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services is designated by Statute as the lead state agency for the Child Care Assistance Program but counties do have limited discretion to establish some local policies and procedures.
Although the majority of the plan is prescribed, public comment is being sought on the entire plan.
Comments will be accepted until 4:00 on September 11, 2015. Written comments should be submitted to Amanda Larson, HHS Planner, Sherburne County Health & Human Services, 13880 Business Center Drive Elk River, MN 55330.
