The Government Center will be closed on Monday, September 4th for the observance of Labor Day

As a county we are always working to understand our residents better and hear from them what is working and also what can be made better. We value this feedback and it's important to us in continuing to grow Sherburne into a place that is wonderful to live and work.

Website Survey You can play a crucial role in helping us gather and source the appropriate information from county residents. Would you help us send this short 3 minute survey out on whatever forums you have access to? Again, this is valuable information to help us understand how to serve our residents better and we are thankful for your help.

Please share this survey. The survey only takes a few minutes. Thank you.

Controlled Burns in Sand Dunes State Forest
The Department of Natural Resources will conduct controlled burns of two brush piles in Sand Dunes State Forest in Orrock Township.

The DNR's Forestry Division recently harvested timber from the area and collected leftover tree tops and branches in two piles that will be burned. The burning will be done to make it easier to plant new trees and control buckthorn.

The burn areas are north and west of the intersection of Sherburne County Road 10 and 170th Street. The burning will happen between Aug 31 and April 1. The exact days are weather dependent, but the DNR expects there to be 5-8 days of actual burning.

Residents in the area can expect to see smoke from the fires, which will happen at optimal times when fire danger is low and when the wind is such that the smoke doesn't drift to the residences east of the burn areas.
